Cancer Clinical Pathway and Patient Navigation Project 2020

Overview

Many people who are screened for cancer may not get the prescribed care as they are lost to follow up. Similarly, cancer patients may not get the best support during their treatment process due to a lack of resources to guide them through the care process. The Cancer Clinical Pathway and Patient Navigation Project seeks to harmonize the approach to cancer early detection, diagnosis and treatment in Abia State of Nigeria.

Using a blended-learning approach, we are providing a rich, 4-week course that will train patient navigators on how to use the clinical pathways for breast and cervical cancers, as well as how to guide patients through different phases on their 'cancer journey'. Participants will learn how to use the new, online patient navigation system develop by Obong University and Marjorie Bash Foundation.

  • Overview of clinical pathways for breast and cervical cancers
